About Kelly

Qualified. Experienced. Here to help.

I'm Kelly Marie, a BACP-registered psychotherapist based in Leeds with over a decade of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, young people and organisations. I am a proud advocate for wellbeing and mental health awareness.

My practice is grounded in psychodynamic theory - drawing on how early relational experiences and unconscious patterns shape our present-day emotional lives. Working alongside integrative and trauma-informed approaches, I offer a thoughtful, evidence-based and confidential service that's tailored to your clinical needs.

I specialise in workplace therapy and wellbeing, working with organisations. As a contracted therapist within an organisation, I work closely with HR and management teams to prioritise mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. This is to ensure that employees that may benefit from my services are referred promptly and given the right support.

Workplace Therapy

Mental health within the workplace is an often overlooked element of wellbeing. But this is an issue that has an impact on individuals and organisations. In 2024/25 over 900,000 workers experienced work-related stress, anxiety or depression - leading to the loss of 22.1 million working days Health and Safety Executive (2025).
I have worked with companies such as LADBible and Genuit Group to provide therapy and support for their employees. My work with these companies has reduced absences related to mental health, supported appropriate returns-to-work, and improved employee retention.

Employee feedback has highlighted positive impacts such as reduced stress and anxiety around work, improved relationships with colleagues and an appreciation for the human-focused culture their organisation has adopted.

It is also vital that I work closely with the organisation, this allows managers and leaders to make referrals if they identify a member of the team who would benefit from therapy. It also allows me to liaise with HR to make recommendations regarding absent staff and supporting their return to work. My service remains confidential and I do not disclose details, but this collaboration means support is holistic and integrated into workplace culture. Another element of my work is mental health and wellbeing advocacy, so I often inform and advise organisations on how they can better support their employees and how best to implement the appropriate steps.

Organisations have reported increased productivity and outcomes from employees receiving therapy, less time lost to absences and more confidence in their ability to effectively support individuals in and out of work.
Methodology

Therapeutic Approach

Grounded in evidence-based practice, I draw from several clinical frameworks to provide the most effective support for every individual and their circumstances.

Psychodynamic

Works with the understanding that present difficulties are influenced by unconscious processes and previous life experiences. Psychodynamic therapy creates space to explore your patterns, defence mechanisms and emotional history, and how these may impact you in the present.

Trauma-Informed

This framework prioritises sensitivity and collaborative sessions to acknowledge and address trauma and its role in mental health. There is a focus on creating a therapeutic environment that is safe, honest and understanding. You are the priority, and have control over the pace and direction of sessions, so the therapeutic work can provide effective support and empowerment.

Systemic

This technique is designed to support emotional and personal growth by identifying unconscious patterns of language and behaviour. The process aims to release limiting beliefs and emotional blocks to create lasting changes. The therapeutic work allows exploration of patterns by understanding the past, to being implementing positive change in the present and future. This may also include genograms to look into family dynamics and relationships.

Integrative

Integrative practice draws upon elements from many therapeutic frameworks (such as the systemic and humanistic approaches) to provide support tailored to each individual. Mental health support is not "one-size-fits-all" so the integrative approach can adapt to everyone.
